We Need Your Support

There are many ways you can help preserve Maybury Farm.

Cash Donation

We receive no tax dollars for the support of Maybury Farm.  Your donations keep Maybury Farm open! Checks may be mailed to Maybury Farm, care of Northville Community Foundation, at 18600 Northville Road, Suite 275, Northville, Michigan 48168.  Please note “Maybury Farm” in the memo section of your check.  Donations by credit card may be made by calling our office at (248) 374-0200.

“Two Bit’ Campaign

Maintaining Maybury Farm has many, many expenses and in an effort to help with the bills and yet offer everyone the opportunity to help we began the “Give Two Bits for Maybury Farm” campaign.  We want to collect as many quarters as possible from our friends in southeast Michigan.    Our friends at Fifth Third Bank thought that was a pretty good idea and offered all of their southeast Michigan locations as drop off points for your quarters. What do you need to do?  Just go into your nearest Fifth Third Bank and say that you want to donate to the Northville Community Foundation – Maybury Farm. They have the account all set up and are waiting for you to stop in.  What will the money be used for?  Animals, feed, operations, animal care, building upkeep and repair, building additional shelters for the animals, restrooms for our guests, and the list goes on and on.

Adoption Available

If you would like to adopt one of the animals, cows, pigs, horses, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, sheep, or goats, please contact us at (248) 374-0200 for an adoption brochure.  You can adopt an animal for one year and even name the animal.  Adoption papers are sent to you.  The Adoption Program helps with the cost of feed for the animals.

Roofers and Roofing Materials Needed - The roof on the equipment shed and Welcome Center are in need of replacement.  We are not looking for the fancy stuff just regular roofing on both buildings.  If you can donate roofing, would like to tear the old roofing down, or would like to re-roof the buildings, please let us know.  Hopefully we can get this accomplished between now and next Spring.  Many thanks for your generosity, please call (248)374-0200.

Volunteer

We have many opportunities for volunteers at Maybury Farm. If you have an interest in one, please contact us at (248)374-0200.

  • Farm Docent -  Experience the opportunity of introducing the world of farming, animals, and growing to school children You will present one of the prepared student programs.
  • School Docent - An animal or two are taken by you from the farm to visit with the school children at their school. Visits are in January and February only.
  • Welcome Center - Greet our guests as they enter the Welcome Center to visit Maybury Farm. Your will greet our guests, inform them about the farm, and take the entrance fee. Ideal for a “people person”.
  • Tractor Drivers -  We are always in need of experienced tractor drivers for tours, Corn Maze, weekend hayrides, birthday parties, corporate events. If you have tractor experience and love people—we can use you!
  • Farm Hands - People handy with repairing especially plumbing, electrical, building, machine repair, machine maintenance, painting, cleaning barns, doing roofing – we need you at the Farm.

Beautifying Maybury Farm

Beginning in the Spring and running through the summer we off “Beautification” opportunities at the Farm.  They include:

  • Flowers - Donations of $50 will be used for the planting of flowers at the entrance of Maybury Farm and on the patio.
  • Paver Stones - If you have visited Maybury Farm you have noticed the beautiful patio that was built for us by Global Gardens.  The pavers used were used specifically so people could donate to the farm by purchasing a paver.  Pavers come in two sizes; small 6”x 8” (donation - $250 and have a 2 line 15 character limit per line) and 12”x12” (donation $350 and have a 3 line 20 character limit per line).  These pavers make wonderful birthday, anniversary, memorial, or just-because gifts.
  • Picnic Table Donors - As Maybury Farm increases in its programming we have more and more need for picnic tables. If you would like to sponsor a picnic table for a $1,500 donation a plaque will be placed on the table with your desired inscription (limited to 12 characters and spaces 3 lines).
  • Buy A Board - Maybury Farm is continually in need of lumber. It is used to replace boards, build pastures, build lean-to’s, repair pens, repair wagons, rebuild wagons, etc. We would also like to add an addition to our Welcome Center.  Your donation of $250 for boards will greatly help with all of the above items. Your family name will also be placed on a plaque that will hang permanently at Maybury Farm. A great GIFT idea!
