Seasons at Maybury Farm

Spring at Maybury Farm

Newborn LambsSpring is the time of year we wait for – everything comes to life and it is a very busy time at the farm. Fields are plowed, crops are planted and babies are born. As the babies are born we can never have too many friends helping out with them. We have lambs, baby kid-goats, chicks, bunnies, and piglets. We invite our friends out to see how well our moms take care of their new babies and how cute the babies are frolicking around the pens. You may even find a few following you around the farm. The first weekend in May we celebrate “Farm Days”. We have a Blue Grass Band, sheep shearing, antique tractors plowing our fields, face painters, hay rides and farm tours – something for every age.

Summer  at Maybury Farm

Kids with sheep in a barnThis year we will offer summer tours. So many families have requested Tours and we will offer them to groups of 10 or more (reservations required). Tours will begin in June and run through mid-September. Our babies continue to grow and they are so much fun to play with. The chickens are now laying eggs we sell them daily. Our lambs are feisty and always willing to play and our little piglets just love playing in the mud. This is also the time of year for the first cutting of hay. We also look forward to Dairy Days in June.

Autumn  at Maybury Farm

Girl with PumpkinOur Corn Maze is always a huge attraction in the fall. It begins in mid-September and runs through mid-November. Our fall school tours begin in September and rub through November 15. School groups are invited during the week and weekends are for the general public. Our visitors look forward to the Pumpkin Patch at the farm and we will have our second patch beginning in October. Our pumpkins are very reasonable and we encourage our school groups to pick a pumpkin when they come out. Please reserve your group tour early!

We look forward to the Harvest Moon as our days begin to get shorter and we begin prepping the barns for winter.
